Heavenly B & B

Long time readers will know that Kim and I LOVE church conversions. LOVE. I think I’ve found the perfect spot for a weekend getaway… if you live in Belgium (or if you are passing through). Het Verloren Gedicht. The Lost Poem. How romantic! Sigh! Beats breast! Swoons! Ok enough of that just pass the champagne!

The Shed

A teeny tiny almost derelict shed. Some imagination and foresight. Lots of talent. One amazing small space home and an award winning Australian renovation. The Shed by Richard Peters Associates via the Houses Awards. Good things do come in small packages.

Just a little bit of fun. Nothing serious. Froth and bubbles. Perfect for tea and cupcakes. Found while real estate stalking in Marrickville, Sydney. Link here while it lasts.

Chilean beauty

I couldn’t resist. I had to share more fabulous images from photographer Fran Parente’s portfolio. This time he has captured the essence of this Santiago, Chile house by architect Mathias Klotz. Dark yet bright. Modern with a touch of retro. Love the bike hung from that amazing staircase, the street presence of the building, the lower position of the windows in the bedroom as well as the run of book underneath. South American design is so hot right now and so are their photographers.

Apartamento

Hello beautiful Brazilian apartment. Hello hello hello. I found this quirky yet stylish, retro with a sense of humour home in the portfolio of photographer Fran Parente. It belongs to architect/designer Mauricio Arruda and you’ll find it in São Paulo. (What I love about Fran’s work is that he captures the bold personality of this place perfectly but still keeps it real. Great light, great colour, cool insight into a fab flat. The house of cards dining table better not come tumbling down though. OOOH bad pun. It’s the Mesa Baralho in case you just have to have one.) But then I found Mauricio’s website with even more great designs. So now you’ll have to visit both!
