A surprise in the kitchen

Fabulous French Friday. Is there such a thing? Well there is today because I had to share this delicious Haussmannian apartment in Paris by Studio Razavi Architecture. The bones are great, those white walls and floors the perfect foil for the covetable furniture and art collection but there’s a surprise in the kitchen… after the jump.

Let's grab the Gucci's with our morning café ..

I love the living room, but I'm not a huge fan of the paint job in the kitchen. It's the sort of thing that's nice to visit, say at a café or at the home of an eccentric friend, but I wouldn't want to live with it. The red marble fireplace, however, is gorgeous. It's the same marble as my kitchen counters. Love it.

I LOVE this space, especially the little book niches. A great mix of creativity and reverence for the historical bones of the building. The kitchen is a nice homage to Sol LeWitt.

White, crisp and unusual. But wall art in the kitchen, i would hate it after a week.
