Studio SFW

Posted on Fri, 17 Dec 2021 by KiM

Rachael Stollar, Erin Fearins, and Ward Welch have renovated homes in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Long Island, Connecticut, New Jersey and the Hudson Valley for the better part of two decades. They form interiors & architecture firm Studio SFW. They seem to be able to tackle a broad range of styles and each space is so thoughtfully considered and some fine eye candy.

Ancient modern

A modern villa in Florida filled with antique materials and collected objects.  The villa is frequently used for large events and gatherings and our goal was to create an indoor-outdoor lifestyle with a refined yet relaxed aesthetic, a place where one would be equally as comfortable in a gown as barefoot. I love the natural colour palette, casual and somewhat tropical vibe. I’d love to do something like this in a hacienda in Mexico 🙂 Architect: John Lamb with all Interior Architecture by Lauren Liess & Co, Builder: Adam Baker

Studio Laloc roundup

Back in July Jo featured a scullery designed by Studio Laloc. And I have been obsessed with the idea of having a scullery ever since. (So handy and such a cute space to decorate!) In honour of this small room of rooms that I cannot get out of my head, here are some more beautiful spaces by Lauren Lothrop Caron.

Simple and sexy

When minimalism is sexy. Crumpled linen, faux fur, marble, red copper, crsytal, textured black wall, brass…. *sigh*. Brussels apartment designed by Æ Studio. (Check out previous features from this studio here and here)

Playful in Paris

Posted on Fri, 10 Dec 2021 by midcenturyjo

Time for a virtual getaway in Paris. A mini hotel on the Rue du Bac in the 6th arrondissement by Batiik Studio. Shapes, colours and textures play with each other in a light-hearted way creating visual interest and an interior far from boring traditional hotel rooms.
