Beach blue

Posted on Thu, 7 May 2015 by midcenturyjo

If the previous beach house was about washed out sea glass hues then this Manly Beach apartment by Brett Mickan Interior Design is all about the bright play of sea blues and greens. Bold with a hint of retro beach shack kitsch, it’s high holiday style with a touch of fun.

A soft palette of sand and stone, washed out pastels and white, beautiful white. Clean lines and bespoke cabinetry. Whitewashed brick, blonde timbers, ethnic touches and a relaxed elegance. Beach side living at its stylish best. Avoca Beach house by one of my favourite interior designers Karen Akers. Pinch me. It’s a dream.

P.S. So you think this place couldn’t be more perfect? Well it can. You can rent it for holidays! You can email for more information here.

Stalking by the sea

Oh the view! Oh the position metres from the beach! Oh the house! Oh my! I have no words to describe this house by Clinton Murray with gardens by Will Dangar. I’m stalking Newport on the northern beaches of Sydney and I’m planning a bank heist to finance this sea change fantasy. Thanks to Andrea my stalking buddy for the listing. Link here while it lasts.

A classy beach house

Soothing shades of white, cream, blue, grey and green. This is beach decor at its absolute finest, in this California beach house by interior designer Becki Owens. It is classy yet weathered, with lots of cozy upholstery and bits of sparkle and pattern to catch your eye. This is just super pretty.
