I spotted this Copenhagen apartment on Skönahem and had to share because it features some of my favourite things, like bold graphic artwork and an eclectic mix of antique and mid-century furnishings. And that bedroom is so sooooooooo pretty.

Seattle home refreshed

The client wanted a whole home refresh without doing a major remodel. The team at Heidi Caillier Design redesigned the house with new furnishings, wall coverings, carpet and paint. The mix of old and new, the play of pattern and colour, the layering of textures and materials all create a home that is comfortable and livable, beautiful and curated. I don’t know what I love more, the many discreet sitting areas or the richly layered bedrooms.

Hotel Casa Telmo

Located in the centre of Mahon in Menorca, Casa Telmo is a beautiful boutique hotel with only 5 rooms and therein lies my problem. I just cannot choose which room I would want to stay in. Oh hang on a minute. That’s not a problem. I’ll just make sure I stay at least 5 days, one in each one. Hotel Casa Telmo designed by Quintana Partners.

Old and new

It’s the juxapostition of old and new, traditional and contemporary, the obvious and the unexpected that is the basis of the creative work of Melissa Jenkinson of interior design and architectural firm Heirloom Studio. As she says “Old interiors capture my soul, contemporary interiors capture at my heart.” The marriage of old and new in this Kentish Town townhouse captures mine as well. Swoon.
