Black and white

Posted on Thu, 12 Jul 2012 by KiM

Back in May I featured the home of interior designer from Poland Lucyna Kolodziejska. She emailed with some photos of a design project of hers that I adore. Some details: this flat I have designed for my client Edyta i Rafal. They have also 1 year old kid – Borys. I designed this about 1,5 year ago. Two bathrooms – one with shower, 3 bedrooms and living room with kitchen. All in black and white. Mirror in master bedroom is my project. The posters is from polish designers. Big MK it is decorating elements, doesn’t mean anything. In bathroom with shower we have photo from Polish seaside. Old 100 year old table in dining with Masters by Kartell – i like these chairs. I am a HUGE fan of black and white decor so this home is really doing it for me. In a big way. With SWEET photos. (photos, design)

Jordan Carlyle – more goodies

Here are more goodies care of Jordan Carlyle that are sure to please if post #1 got you all hot and bothered. This first set of photos are I believe from Jordan’s old apartment. LOVE the artwork, despite it being a serious boob-fest, and the sophisticated vibe. Following that is an apartment on West 21st St. that is a little less glam but has Jordan’s signature HOT style.

Night and day

I’ll start this post by saying that I would happily move into Les Interieurs‘ studio in Newport Beach and blissfully live amongst the stock. I adore Pamela Makin’s work.  Remember this…

from this post? I didn’t think it could get any better. Well it has. New work from Les Interieurs. I think of it as night and day. Black, white and natural. Tribal, timber and art and artifact. It’s just perfect. The homes today are moody and black or atmospheric and naturally neutral… or both. Perfect.

And here’s why I want to most into Les Interieurs’ workspace and studio. Sigh.

2kul Interior Design

Polish design is centre stage again. The creative scene in this country is hot hot hot at the moment. Case in point this stunning private home by 2kul Interior Design. mixes the right on trend black and white with layers of natural finishes, rough luxe and texture and revs it up a notch with an amazing industrial effect balustrading to the staircase. It’s a clever mix of old and new and the perfect hard edged modern foil to a softened, almost shabby meets scandi vibe.

Black beauties

Love the styling of the latest range by Australian furniture designers Zuster. Fabulous furniture. Wonderful “rooms”. Seriously how sexy are those American Oak legs on the Sabrina Lounge! By turning to the dark side the sisters have found the perfect counterfoil to their new range. Inspiring. Beautiful.

P.S. The zebra is a resin model. The partridge … well that’s not.
