Love the vibe in this home designed by L.A. based designer Barbie Palomino. Some dark paint choices make it moody, with furnishings that give it a groovy, mid-century feel. I dig all of this.
It’s just a hallway I hear you say. It’s just a staircase. Yet I’m crushing heavily on these normally neglected areas. In the hands of Moscow-based Malyeva Interiors the monochromatic spaces are crisp, refined, divine. Such timeless beauty.
Drum roll please … my first stalking post for the year! I’m in the inner Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst stalking an old mechanics garage converted by SJB. Black and white with luxury touches of marble, a dramatic vertical garden wall and old steel windows. Stylish contemporary warehouse living a stone’s throw from the CBD and only $2.7million. Link here while it lasts.
A big thanks to Eunice Fernandes, an interior designer in Sao Paolo, Brazil, for sending us photos of a kitchen she designed for a very dear client who is an accomplished cook. She nailed it with the black and white colour scheme, and a wide range of storage – open shelving, a plate/book rack unit, display cabinets behind glass, and always a favourite of mine is a cubby left open within a bank of cabinets for a coffee bar. A gorgeous kitchen!!!
Drama, drama, drama. It’s glam, it’s lush, it’s sophisticated yet theatrical. It’s “Trad with a Twist”, a dark boudoir with a provocative edge by Jessie D. Miller Design.
