Just saw this amazing room featured on Elle Decor Spain’s website. The combination of Herman Miller’s 1955 classic Coconut Chair, chrome arc lamp, chinoiserie hand painted wallpaper screen, mirrored coffee table, outrageously large floral arrangement and my new colour obsession…. green. Love it all! Maybe not practical but I’m not always practical myself. Thanks to Kim’s twin sister for showing me the way to this fabulous room!

*A little side note: I am putting my house up for sale this Wednesday so things are a little crazy here. I’m hoping to be able to find some time to get posts done for the week. If not, Jo will be posting as usual. (I’m so lucky to have a blog partner). So if I don’t answer any emails this week or if my posts are brief or non-existent, it’s because I’m vacuuming for the 324th time.
Naturally because I love zebra rugs, I also have a thing for animal print furniture (again, FAUX). It’s graphic, somewhat rustic, and bold. I would love to recover one of my old upholstered chairs in a great animal print (probably zebra). I figure, I live with 5 cats, animal prints would be very suitable here. 🙂

I’m supposed to be drafting posts for this week but I’m spending my afternoon recovering my dining room chairs. All six of them. They’re part of a dining set made in Brisbane by Danish immigrant Hans Larsen who made furniture to Danish designs using Australian rainforest timbers during the 60s. These chairs are blackbean not teak. I love them so much but felt I needed a change from their black leather seats. So I recovered them with….. a table cloth. Don’t worry their original covers are still underneath. Only 5 more to go! Oh and a weeks worth of posts still to do. P.S The pots are West German floor vases, another collecting vice I have.
