Because I am now smitten with the easy-going, timeless, neutral style of Moore House Design I thought I would share an assortment of other spaces by this talented firm. Photos: Erin Little, Erin McGinn, Zach Dezon.
A designer however creative feels the constraints of a client’s brief. Very few are given carte blanche. That is of course except for their own homes. Juan Moreno Lopéz-Calull is the founder and designer at John Brown Projects, a Barcelona-based interior design firm and art consultancy and this is his vibrant home. Statement chairs, pops of colour (check out the multi coloured cornice), an iron doorway and art, art and more art. Fun, fresh and fabulous.
“An elegant yet robust home for a young family with a passion for design and travel, Church Street residence takes its cues from archetypal Roman forms. Art and furnishings add zest, warmth and richness. Arches were introduced strategically throughout the floor plan to contain elegant spatial volumes and create vistas, as well as ordering the ‘flow’ within the dwelling. The arches express mass with the use of deep wall reveals, linking spaces and framing rooms with elegant steel framed glazed doors for privacy.”

Part gallery, part apartment, all style. The Milan loft home of Tommaso Spinzi of Spinzi Design a Milan and Melbourne based interior design firm is inspirational and aspirational. I think I’d take one of everything from contemporary to design classics from the 70s and 80s. It’s my kryptonite.
