A San Francisco bachelor pad

Posted on Wed, 1 Aug 2018 by KiM

This bachelor is bound to score some dates with his fantastic pad in San Francisco designed by Studio MunroeThis single level three bedroom home for a 20-something bachelor needed to respect its classic Edwardian detailing while channeling the spirit and lifestyle of its young owner and the dynamic surrounding neighborhood.  Unexpected wallpaper, deep jewel toned paint, and a mix of bespoke furnishings did the trick. An Airbnb in Prague

Posted on Thu, 26 Jul 2018 by KiM

Bára is devoted reader of our blog from the Czech Republic (or Czechia) and dabbles in interior design as a hobby. She recently completed this project and I had to share because it’s the cutest little pad, the colours she chose are stunning, and I’d love to stay here! I recently remodelled (on a tight budget) this small apartment in an Art Nouveau building in Prague to serve as an airbnb. We had to leave the kitchen cupboards and bathroom without major changes, but at least applied black “sticker” on the fridge and backsplash tiles. It’s so cozy and I love the drama of the dark wall colours and the mural. Casa V+F

Casa V+F by Italian firm AMOAMA Architettura is a knock-your-socks-off home located in drop-dead gorgeous Erbusco, Lomardy. The views on the outside are spectacular but so is this super fun and brightly coloured interior. So much creativity to take in. I would be quite happy to move in with everything left as-is. Scandinavian modern

Sharing some Scandinavian modern in greys and pastels to ease you into the weekend with this beauty designed by Laura Melling. Wonderfully styled and I absolutely adore that bench/storage wall. That one needs to go in the inspiration folder. So easy to achieve with a quick trip to Ikea 🙂

A colourful Edinburgh Georgian flat

Posted on Thu, 19 Jul 2018 by midcenturyjo

This Edinburgh flat with its elegant Georgian lines is no shrinking violet. What could have been restrained and dare I say plain is instead alive with colour and pattern. Grey walls anchor the scheme allowing the designer Jessica Buckley to create a space that reflects the owners personality and style. The repeated use of pink and yellow must be so uplifting on a dreary Scottish day. Another great example of traditional with a twist.
