Concrete can sometimes be cold, but in this apartment it provides the perfect neutral backdrop to dark grey, black and white. All Scandi, all the time. I really love this apartment. Interior design by Johan Israelson, styled by Tina Hellberg and photographed by Johan Sellén

Rock House

The Rock House, perched on the edge of a cliff in the outskirts of Stockholm on Lake Mälaren. Designed by Arkitektstudio Widejdal Racki. What a beautiful location, and the mix of concrete, glass and wood creates a modern and organic retreat. I find it a bit cold but with the addition of more rugs and some plants, I think it would be the perfect getaway home.

The architect’s own warehouse space. Raw and restrained with a shock of acid green in the kitchen, open plan with changing levels to allow privacy, all washed with the natural light pouring through large windows. Modern urban living with a cool luxury. Young St, Fitzroy by Steve Domoney Architecture.
