A salty tang is in the air and the rhythmic crash of waves provide the sound track. Interiors are light and bright with blonde wood furniture, a washed out colour palette of whites and sands with accents of black. Is it a dream? A Tuscan farmhouse under a hot summer sun. Inside the rooms are starkly beautiful, a counterpoint to the blazing heat. A cool oasis that soothes the soul until, pow, a punch of  pink in the modern, metal kitchen. Fabulous living in the beautiful medieval town of Capalbio by Rome-based designer Ilaria Miani.

It’s a little slice of heaven. A NYC loft with fabulous bones and an interior by design firm Sissy + Marley. Light floods in through arched windows while oak floors and exposed beams enhance the industrial feel. One moment it’s dramatic, the next serene but always a chic, always inspiring, family home. If luxury loft living in the Big Apple has been a dream of yours I suggest you move towards the light.
