I’m going a bit classic today with this post but I thought a little diversity would be welcomed. These spaces are crafted by interior designer Benjamin Dhong, who keeps things fresh and modern with the addition of to-die-for classic mid century chairs. WORK IT! Lots of wonderful textures as well.
Don’t let the white on white with gold accents fool you as you move through this Sydney house. A splash of colour on the front door, dramatic wallpaper in another room, cleverly patterned tile in the powder room give you just a hint of the riot of colour and wallpaper that awaits when you climb the stairs or venture out to the pool cabana. Interior designer Greg Natale takes it to another level with his bold pattern clashes, papered ceilings and bathroom tiling. A glam house, a wham house! Love the striped wallpaper down by the pool? Did the purple chevron paper in the Adore magazine post (the room complete with David Bowie and tufting) tickle your fancy? Both wallpapers are from Greg’s new stripe range for Porter’s Paints. Hollywood Regency meets retro meets rock star glam. Mix it up anyway you want.
The Greg Natale Collection is available from Porter’s Paints.
I’m loving the portfolio of design firm The Elegant Abode (Ariana Villalta and Ali Vanderpool). Soft colours, comfortable and liveable spaces that just get better as time goes on. Perfect for a Wednesday afternoon.
Stunning architectural details, fabulous furniture, amazing art. A sense of humour, a sense of the outrageous. A fuchsia opium bed! Only in Paris. Appartement Paris 9e. Exclusive, secret places in Paris for rent for private events. Lofts, townhouses and factories, off the beaten path apartments, private clubs and artist’s studios all available through Loft Connexion by Samuel Johde.
The one thing better than an amazing portfolio from one of Australia’s top interior designers? A website that is so luscious and large format that the it does justice to the designs! It is a couple of years now since I first featured David Hicks‘ work on Desire to Inspire (young über talented Aussie not to be confused by the iconic and long passed British designer of the same name). A recent revisit and I was rewarded with such a feast for the eyes. The website is exquisite. Designers out there take note. Big and bold is best when it comes to showcasing your wares. I’ve included some shots I have used in the previous post because I just had to. I love them so much. Don’t just stay here though. Click on over to David’s website for an even better experience.
