“Do you live here alone?” I yelled back over my shoulder as I fumbled with the door knob. What confronted me was the most outrageous bathroom I think I have ever seen in real life. “Don’t worry”, I mumbled as I counted the tooth brushes on the sink. We’d struck up a casual conversation in a pub round the corner from my cousin’s flat the previous day. As you do. She was a stylist. She had regaled me with tales of her home over a few pints. Did I want to see it? Have a coffee? I wasn’t prepared for this. “I suppose you wouldn’t mind if I moved in?” I asked shaking the water from my hands as I re-entered the kitchen.
An amazing town house close to Camden Town via locations firm Wilde and Watson.

… with alcohol to make me fall for this home by Dutch interior architects i29. Modern and fabulous with a limited palette of grey and white. The hero though is the plywood used repeatedly throughout the home. An often overlooked, “second class” building material is the standout here. That and the open plan design, the fireplace, the walls of glass. No definitely the plywood 😉

Sublime. Gasping at its Seriously, seriously lovely. Welcome to my next home. By New York based Ghiora Aharoni.

We have featured the work of photographer Paul Raeside on the blog so many times that I have lost count. Not hard to see why. The man is a genius with a lens. Love the natural light, the shadows, composition. Definite photographer crush!

I LOVE this little 775 sq ft apartment located in Malmesbury, UK (it’s a unique hilltop market town established in 880AD!!!). This property dates to 1850, is solid stone and has been totally renovated. I’m forever a fan of old, rustic homes brought into the 21st century – love the stone walls and the beamed ceilings. It has such a cosy feel to it. The kitchen design is pretty creative – I take it it’s for folks who mostly eat out (although it even has a dishwasher!). How cool that it’s accessed from the road via a courtyard so it’s totally private. More details here and the agent’s page here.
