Techné – to make poetically. I had to return to this Melbourne firm’s work for another dose of inspiration. Creative, contemporary, edgy and exciting this home is a bright and cheery ode to family life. Both dark and colourful choruses break the sunny white providing contrast and interest, tying the old to the new. Hang it! I’ll stop trying to wax lyrical. I just need to say it’s fabulous!.

I just cannot get enough of John Pawson‘s minimalism. Here is some more. Enjoy.

John Pawson

I am often captivated by the beauty in minimalist architecture. While I don’t think I can ever live in a space without ‘stuff’, it’s almost soothing to know that some people out there have the restraint to live so simply. British designer John Pawson is known for his minimalist aesthetic. His homes are absolutely stunning and I would be honoured to live in one of them…but with some stuff. 🙂

Creative & Sons

“Whimsy, luxury, humor, and, above all, STYLE… “ Doesn’t every room need it? Styling and art direction firm, Creative & Sons, belives so. These Austin Texas stylists create dreams for the editorial and digital services. They’re the ones that zhush the spaces and, with the photographer, craft an image that just sucks us in and leaves us panting for more. Dream weavers. Show offs.

“Do you live here alone?” I yelled back over my shoulder as I fumbled with the door knob. What confronted me was the most outrageous bathroom I think I have ever seen in real life. “Don’t worry”, I mumbled as I counted the tooth brushes on the sink. We’d struck up a casual conversation in a pub round the corner from my cousin’s flat the previous day. As you do. She was a stylist. She had regaled me with tales of her home over a few pints. Did I want to see it? Have a coffee? I wasn’t prepared for this. “I suppose you wouldn’t mind if I moved in?” I asked shaking the water from my hands as I re-entered the kitchen.

An amazing town house close to Camden Town via locations firm Wilde and Watson.
