OMG if I was a room!!

Posted on Mon, 15 Oct 2007 by midcenturyjo

Just saw this amazing room featured on Elle Decor Spain’s website. The combination of Herman Miller’s 1955 classic Coconut Chair, chrome arc lamp, chinoiserie hand painted wallpaper screen, mirrored coffee table, outrageously large floral arrangement and my new colour obsession…. green. Love it all! Maybe not practical but I’m not always practical myself. Thanks to Kim’s twin sister for showing me the way to this fabulous room!

Encore, encore!

We posted these photos over on design*sponge but I just had to post them again here in large format. This dark luxe Sydney city apartment is elegant, sophisticated and masculine. When you tire of the luxury appointments you can always gaze out the full height windows at the amazing Sydney view. Another stunner from Greg Natale. Thanks for being so generous with the pictures of your work Greg.

PS Greg is sending photos of his latest white on white beach house. Can’t wait!

Ethereal hues

Sea foam green and palest blue. I love these faded vintage colours. So evocative. Calm, elegant, other worldly. They’re the perfect backdrop to boho modern, eclectic, vintage found style and even a more relaxed traditional, country or Swedish feel. Barely there blues and sea greens yum!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

A little touch of the Irish. Green, a colour much maligned but look again. Fun, offbeat and unexpected. Have a wonderful Paddies Day and don’t drink too much Guinness unless you really have to.
