Sea of green

Posted on Mon, 12 Aug 2013 by midcenturyjo

Close your eyes. Relax. Sleep will come. Like floating softly in a sea of green. Beautiful photography by Brie Williams.

P.S. To see the alternative view of this room (featured a couple of times on this blog) go to my original post here.

Double dipping

I needed to dip back into the portfolio of Milan-based Studiopepe. Edgy, confident, passionate and rich. Inspiration aplenty in these retail installations. Enough to make me want to move in. Coveting is a sin right?

More confection from French firm Camille Hermand Architectures. I can almost taste the citron on my tongue. Followed by a meringue. So sweet!

Melanie Turner

Inspired by fashion and borrowing a palette from nature, Melanie Turner‘s interiors possess a timeless quality that celebrates architectural details and classic design. Maintaining an emphasis on simplicity and understated glamour, her interiors feature a blend of clean lines, found objects, fine antiques, and custom-designed, sculptural furniture. There’s nothing more important to me than a home that is comfortable and inviting, and Melanie’s designs are just that yet have a sophisticated vibe that turns it up a notch. The dark shade of grey in the first few photos is fantastic.

Green with envy

Wrap it up and bring it here. No wrap me up and deliver me there. Whatever! But just make sure that I’m cooking up a storm in the kitchen of this Silver Lake house by Bestor Architecture. California cool. Green with envy? You betcha. The only thing better would be…

… another green kitchen by Barbara Bestor and her design team. Now I can’t make up my mind. Sometimes you just got to have colour!
