A down at heel Victorian found new life as a family home that combines the finer things in life with the practicality of family living. Think original features and contemporary touches, marble and velvet with integrated storage and durability. Stoke Newington Family Home by London-based Frank & Faber.

“This historic Victorian townhouse located in Notting Hill, London, was reconfigured for an active family of five. The original building’s interior had narrow circulation and small, boxy rooms. It was gutted and replaced with a new central staircase and streamlined rooms that emphasize comfort and family friendliness. New open plan living spaces were created on the ground floor and transitional details are found throughout, striking a balance between the historic and the modern.”
