Built originally in 1973 this Prahran, Melbourne home packs a lot of style on its 155 m² block of land. A 2014 renovation remains true to its 70s vibe but with cleaner, more contemporary lines. I like that the exterior is rather constrained with just a hint of what lies within proclaimed in its garage door. Sometimes real estate stalking makes me jealous, sometimes for the house, sometimes for the contents and sometimes for the art. I’m coveting the dejected Batman in the entrance. Link here while it lasts.

The serenely beautiful, plant filled house shared by Kim on Sunday (here… swoon) belongs to stylist and art director Liza Giles and her architect husband. It’s easy to see that she worked for Designers Guild for many years. That lovely green, the freshness, the botanicals. I couldn’t help myself. I had to share a little more of her work with Tricia Guild. Simply lovely.

I was so inspired by the Kraków apartment by projekt i that I had to share another from their portfolio. A familiar palette of black and white is used in the public areas while a rich deep blue is the highlight of the bedroom in this stylish 50 m² apartment near the Wawalem Castle.

This is a prime example of eclectic décor that is totally random yet perfectly executed to create chic, sexy rooms. This Madrid apartment was featured in the latest issue of Nuevo Estilo (AGH I could not find this mag while I was in Puerto Vallarta!) and was designed by Isabel López-Quesada. This talented lady does not follow rules and trends, and I admire her for that. The dining room above is my favourite space – SO HOT!!! (Check out Jo’s past features of Isabel’s work here, here and here)

I am swooning over these spaces created by New York based interior designer Wesley Moon. I believe that a home should reflect the people who live there, with rooms that are fresh and tastefully put together as opposed to “decorated”. I propose the unexpected, obsess over paint colors, and adore couture-like detailing that may go unnoticed by anyone except the owner or the occasional visitor with a discerning eye. I am interested and well-versed in all periods of design and decoration, believing that a mix of styles is what makes a room classic, timeless, and chic. And with that, he is a man after my own heart. This first home is so European chic I adore it, and it is making me fall for yellow.
