This 1968 home on Lake Austin, Texas recently underwent a dramatic transformation inside and out and is a wonderful backdrop to the homeowner’s extensive art collection. Modern yet has some cozy spaces for relaxing, whilst maintaining an overall mid century vibe. The dining room does double duty as a conference space for these work from home times, and the sliding wall is in fact a massive white board. Love that!

This beautiful home in the suburbs of Madrid was designed by Isabel López-Quesada. A neutral palette, an eclectic blend of furnishings with a fairly strong lean towards mid-century and an all-around timeless vibe makes this a winner.

Finding this home featured on The Socialite Family made me realize that if I ever purchase a mid-century home this is how I would want to decorate it. Neutral, earthy modernism. Fabulous.

Modern with a dose of mid century and slathered in rich wood and contrasting white painted brick. I love this home by Commune Design. Designed in collaboration with Feldman Architecture, this 5000 square foot residence in San Francisco was handcrafted from the ground up. Inspired by modernist Scandinavian architecture, the house has a limited material palette of lime washed Norman brick, black terracotta tile, plaster, copper, blackened bronze and salvaged local redwood, walnut and elm. All cabinetry, doors, windows and railings were handcrafted as well as all decorative elements including the Stan Bitters fireplace in the outdoor living room. The young clients wanted a home “to grow old in” with interiors that are classic, inviting and layered with commissioned furniture pieces, custom rugs and vintage furnishings.

I cannot imagine living this close to the ocean. How incredible would these views be in person?!?! This is the iconic Butterfly House originally designed by Frank Wynkoop in 1950. Many bland renovations since, Jamie Bush was hired on by the current homeowners to give it a total restoration with major upgrades to bring it back to its organic roots. What a dream home!
