Reserved, stiff upper lip, conservative, carry on. Everything British. No try instead refined, elegant, modern with traditional references. London interior designer Helen Green creates spaces with a subtle luxury, establishment with a contemporary take. Careful though. She won’t be boxed in by tradition.

L Kae Interiors

Pleasant surprises come in all forms including comments on blogs that lead to websites and on to gorgeous rooms. I love the casual natural mix part costal, a little french, a little farmhouse, lots of earthy textures and relaxed family style of these spaces by interior designer Lyndsy Woods of L Kae Interiors. So livable and so lovely. And I found her because of a comment. Don’t you love the internet?!

Style hunter

Barcelona based interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán describes himself as a style hunter. His rooms ooze a sensuousness, a timeless luxury. Layers of texture, classic with a twist pieces, prominent art  – the interiors are rich and beautiful. It’s a carefully designed bespoke environment that at the same time is vibrant and so appealing. Not content with interior design, Lázaro and his multi-disciplinary team take a client from initial concept through to visual branding and merchandising. Stay tuned for a post devoted to Lázaro Rosa-Violán’s Contemporain studio. Amazing!

Kyle Timothy Home

Kyle Timothy Blood is the design force behind Kyle Timothy Home – obviously. But what is also obvious is his understanding of casual elegance and family friendly spaces. These are bright airy and light rooms that are just so appealing that you want to snuggle in that chair or whip up a cake in that kitchen. Custom doesn’t mean design for the sake of design but truly understanding a client’s needs.

Hand

Pierre Emmanuel Martin and Stéphane Garotin are the names behind Hand, an interior design firm from France. They have some home furnishing stores as well that are designed so beautifully you could simply walk in and think you were “home”. Their work is contemporary but filled with warm neutral colours and plush, simple furnishings – the kind you can put your feet up on. They also mix in mid-century modern furniture pieces that add a bit of funkiness. I’m taking many notes, because these spaces are totally my style.
