The orientation of the site was difficult facing east-west. The design by Create Architecture manages to catch as much light as possibe and as it was the family’s first home on a limited budget, the emphasis is on quality over quantity. It’s airy and bright, family focused and not your everyday coastal suburban home.

The mystical qualities of a centuries old home

Posted on Sun, 26 Jan 2020 by KiM

I have imagined for many years of living in a mid century modern home, an industrial loft, and a rustic relic of a home. This would be the rustic relic of my dreams. It is a 16th century oak framed farmhouse 2 hours outside of London, set on 2 acres of wild gardens and meadows, with 7 bedrooms and numerous outbuildings. I could cry this is so beautiful. Available as a location home through Shoot Factory.

A colourful apartment in Spain

As promised, here is another project by designer Marta de la Rica. This apartment is located in Cádiz, Spain and is full of colour, pattern and has a really lived in and summery feel. The outdoor space is gloriously lush. If I found this on Airbnb I’d book it in an instant.
