60’s Beach Pad

Posted on Fri, 9 Mar 2018 by midcenturyjo

It’s almost the weekend baby and I couldn’t think of a more perfect chill out pad than this colourful bohemian getaway designed by Allison Bloom at Dehn Bloom. Fun, fab and family friendly with just enough retro rattan to make my head spin. It’s California coastal cool at its best.

Black and white in Carmel Valley

Posted on Tue, 27 Feb 2018 by midcenturyjo

Stylish black and white living in California with a hint of the 70s but definitely of the current design moment. Artisanal and organic, zen like and beautiful in its simplicity. Carmel Valley Residence by integrated design studio Salt + Bones.

Stalking contemporary black and white

Posted on Thu, 25 Jan 2018 by midcenturyjo

Drum roll please … my first stalking post for the year! I’m in the inner Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst stalking an old mechanics garage converted by SJB. Black and white with luxury touches of marble, a dramatic vertical garden wall and old steel windows. Stylish contemporary warehouse living a stone’s throw from the CBD and only $2.7million. Link here while it lasts.

Studio Seiders

A beautiful marriage of old and new, contemporary classics with timeless antiques, warmed with organic pieces. I’m in love with this home by Austin-based Studio Seiders. So welcoming, so liveable, so lovely.
