I have never seen a more vivacious, flamboyant, vivid and spirited home than that of creative consultant Max Hurd in collaboration with designer Benedict Foley. This Victorian terrace house in London could not be more fun and energizing. The attention to detail and the somewhat random colours used throughout his home….someone with a home like this must have such a wonderful outlook on life. I want to be his friend. I have never in my life seen a mobile home this freaking cool and full of personality. Leave it to Frances Merrill of Reath Design to know just what to do with a space like this for a California surfer who clearly loves colour and a fun, vibrant energy. Green painted floors, lavender kitchen cabinets, a retro floral wallpaper and lots of retro knotty pine are everything you could want in an eclectic, stylish surf shack. (Photos: Laure Joliet)
I’m dyingggggg over this apartment for sale in Olso, Norway that a kind reader sent us the link to. Built in 1899, with several living rooms, 3.3 metre high ceilings with incredible paneling, moldings and all that architectural goodness, 2 balconies, fireplace and a really unique and utterly FABULOUS colour story going on. Gorgeous!!!
Hewitt Road. Our design for this victorian property enhances the period features and brings it bang up to date for modern life. Play, Unwind, Entertain – A family home to thrive in. A refined palette brings a touch of Parisienne chic to this London family home, contrasting industrial elements with our own touch of decorative minimalism.
2LG Studio (Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead) are at it again with eye popping, unique colour schemes and continue to bring some modern vitality to London homes.
“I truly believe that our homes are a reflection of ourselves. A beautiful home is not just a frivolous desire to acquire nice things, it is about our engagement with the things that make us happy, calm and productive. For me, home is the space I am truly myself. It has to be many things to me, which means it has to be functional, but this doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful as well. In fact, I think surrounding yourself with beauty, whatever that means to you, is an act of self-care that can change your life.”
A designer’s own space is a beautiful source of inspiration and it’s no different with this cosy little kitchen diner by Sophie Rowell, founder of Côte de Folk. Perfectly imperfect, colourful and cozy it’s the quintessential Brit cottage with flair.
