A quick six

Posted on Wed, 6 Nov 2019 by midcenturyjo

Real estate stalking and what did I find? A quick six fab properties in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Click on the picture to be taken to the listing. All via realestate.com.au.

Inspired by grand Parisian apartments and the elegance of Art Deco this Sydney residence is impressive not only for its luxury finishes and attention to detail but for its location right in the CBD. A trophy apartment for sure but I’d like to soften its edges just a little, warm it up a tad. A luxurious silk rug across those striking floors, a few more stand out art works. Chasing the dream – cool by the sea

Posted on Thu, 31 Oct 2019 by midcenturyjo

Contemporary by the sea with a mid century vibe taken to the next level with terracotta floors, limewashed ceilings, concrete accents and Oblica fireplace. Add in the bold art works and on point furnishings and this is one cool beach shack in Jan Juc on Victoria’s Surf Coast. Unfortunately for us it has been quickly snapped up. Link here while it lasts.

It should be obvious to you dear reader that my house drug of choice is the Victorian terrace. Yes, yes I know that they are narrow and dark and a lot of times are screaming out for a sympathetic modernisation but I can’t help it. I’m hooked. I’ve been real estate strolling scrolling and I’d like to get my grubby little fingers on this one. Great job so far and lots of potential for even more improvements. For sale here while the link lasts.

It may be a marriage of old and new, historic facade and modern metal entrance screen on the outside but inside it’s all about modern living in this terrace house for sale in Sydney’s Surry Hills. The rear garden may be bijou but it’s perfectly formed. A lush green courtyard drawing the heart and eye outside. Link here while it lasts.
