Staging a home for sale is quite a task. De-personalizing and appealing to the broadest range of potential buyers is what it’s all about. These photos of a beautiful, million dollar home in Washington, D.C. were sent over by the Trevor Moore team and is a great example of the importance of staging and getting some really good photographs for a listing.
This apartment for sale in Östermalm, Sweden is a total gem. Fairly roomy, a mix of dark and light spaces with some funky mid-century furnishings and bold lighting, and some beautiful blown-up photography on the walls. That pretty much sums up all of my favourite things in a home. Available via Lagerlings.
Sssshhh! I’m stalking the home of Bonnie and Neil, the Melbourne-based studio creating beautiful hand crafted products for the home. I don’t know why I feel so coy. It’s not as if I know the owners but I’ve been a serious fan of their work for years. Now I get to see how they live in their own home. Think bright and colourful, botanical prints, artwork and their signature wooden tiles. It’s fun and fresh and it could be yours. Link here while it lasts.
Hi everybody! We’re still here. The new blog is coming along just fine. We’re tidying up and fine tuning. What a job to move 11 years of content from one platform to another. Phew! Almost there. In the meantime lets enjoy a little real estate stalking in the salubrious Sydney suburb of Woollahra. Colour, fabulous art, historic home, modern living, leafy green courtyard and great location. It even has the current “it” chair in Australia, the Malawi chair welcoming you on the front veranda. Link here while it lasts.
Hallelujah I’ve found another church to stalk! Long time readers will know that Kim and I love a good church conversion. There is something about the challenge of doing justice to what is the often imposing, original architecture and accommodating the needs of modern living. On the outside today’s offering is a sombre red brick edifice from the 1890s. Inside fresh and contemporary open-plan living merges with heavy old church doors and arches. Link here while it lasts.
