in Him’s interior design

Posted on Thu, 5 Dec 2013 by KiM

Being an interior design firm must be a bit tough in a city where space is at a premium. in Him’s interior design is based in Hong Kong and clearly have to deal with very small spaces – and it doesn’t seem to hinder them one bit. Our interiors showcase signature designs that are understated yet sophisticated, straightforward, elegant and functional.  Balance, light, space and color factor into every design, creating a timeless effect.  Clean lines and simple but well-crafted furnishings, with an attention to texture and the highest quality materials are essentials to our designs.

MOC

I’m loving these spaces by Karine Simonot and Stéphanie Maigret of MOC (Maison, Objets et Chantiers). Some bold colour accents, some always fabulous Eames chairs and some amazing architecture for an eye-catching backdrop.

I recently stumbled upon the portfolio of Russian architect Igor Sirotov and was immediately taken with his designs. I can’t tell if these are computer generated or just exteme photoshopped but I don’t really care. This home is all about drama and open spaces and lots of concrete (a bit cold) and the coolest lounge pit in the living room (I may have a slight obsession with lounge pits). Many friends would be required to thoroughly enjoy this home, because it demands some serious partying.

Grey, black and white

This apartment is nothing fancy and isn’t too “out there”….it’s sort of JUST RIGHT. The colour scheme is right (grey $ white with black accents is always so good), the wood flooring and accent walls are gorgeous and add some warmth, the kitchen is picture perfect, and the subway tiles/stone keep things a bit more graphic than boring drywall. Yep, I could settle in quite nicely here. Again via The Village

Now you see it … now you don’t

Another clever apartment design by Brazilian architects Ouriço. Panels slide and walls open. Doors swing wide and secrets are hidden.
