Eric Piasecki, I am so sorry that we’ve been neglecting you for the past couple of years. We have a serious crush on you and have for quite some time and Jo and I should be ashamed of ourselves for not doing an update post sooner. Your photography is always stellar – it’s no wonder your photos grace the pages of so many magazines and books. So why don’t I shut up now and just show the goods – that’s what our readers come here for after all.
Deep, rich, ridiculously beautiful. Simple, stunning and strikingly ordinary. Beauty in the everyday and the special. Maybe a reminder of just how singular the simple things in life can be? Take the time to look deeply into the colour and the texture, the shape and even the shabbiness. Take the time to see the world through the eyes of stylist Sarah Cave. Via Big Leo.
We all swooned over Marie Olsson Nylander’s home. I know I am still in deep denial that it is not my home. Deep, deep denial. One day I WILL live there. In the mean time I can lust after her styling work. Marie Olsson Nylander via Harvest Agency.
Your portfolio is brilliant! The colour, it’s graphic quality, the sense of fun, the punch of personality these photos pack. You’ve put a smile on my face and a couple of decorating ideas into my files. Fabulous photography by Kat Teutsch.
I thought for my post today I’d do a little something different, and feature some spaces that have inspired me lately. As per my usual favourites, it’s all about black, white, grey, brown and anything neutral, with industrial, Scandi, rustic and mid-century touches. (On a side note it’s interesting that my wardrobe has gone this route lately as well. I’m obsessed with designers that do lots of draping and stick to neutrals such as Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, Damir Doma…) So here is some eye candy/room porn to ease you into your weekend. Hoping it’s sunny and warm where you are! Cottage here I come!!!
