Ah yes. Real estate stalking. My last for the week is this inner city Melbourne warehouse. The long time home of an artist it is a wonderful mix of Victorian era industrial, warm timbers and garden oasis. Rambling vines soften the facade while soaring tree ferns shade the inner courtyard. Hard to imagine that you are in Fitzroy almost in the shadows of the city skyscrapers. A little jewel on the hard gritty streets. Link here while it lasts.

Late afternoon. The sun is hanging low in the west. A cool breeze nips and snaps to remind me that winter hasn’t quite gone yet. I’m sitting waiting for friends to arrive. Wine, cheese, light the fire when the sun goes down. Jazz and chicken pot pie for dinner. Maybe mushy pies. A movie with orange almond cake during the interval. (Remember intervals and choc top cones?) Easy going, relaxed and just perfect. A bit like this warehouse space. Warm, cosy, real. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon with friends. I’m running behind with my packing. I’m starting to worry. Actually I’m freaking out. Still got time for stalking though. Melbourne’s inner suburbs are well known for their warehouse and workshop conversions. Here’s one in Richmond.
