I love this Victorian home I found via jj Locations. Bright white walls and painted floors make the perfect backdrop for subtle bits of colours added through vintage mid century chairs, art, a touch of wallpaper and accessories. Yes, I apparently have a thing with Victorian homes in the UK. They are always fabulous.
Sometimes we get carried away with adding more and more design details to our rooms. Layering on the textures, adding more and more pieces of furniture, more and more bells and whistles, losing the essence of a space, concentrating on the accoutrements not the substance. Connecticut interior designer Calla McNamara‘s work is defined by neutral color palettes, minimalist architecture and natural materials. It is clean lined and considered, beautiful in its simplicity. A breath of fresh air.
I couldn’t make up my mind which house by Houston-based interior designer Marie Flanigan to share with you so I chose my favourite rooms from several. Rooms that are timeless and elegantly simple. You can find more inspiration on her website.
It’s Wednesday, the middle of the working week and there is no chance of escaping the everyday drudgery. No chance of running away to the fun and sun of Ibiza… unless you count a little virtual getaway. Nothing too large, nothing overdone. Just a simple casita, an old stables now converted to a contemporary getaway by Dutch architects Standard Studio for Ibiza Interiors.

Happy Friday! I leave you with another project in Santa Catalina by Bconnected. This super cute 60m2 penthouse apartment has a feminine, bohemian touch. As much as I love the simplicity and style of the interior, I would be spending every minute in that fantastic outdoor space.
