Some of you may know I have a thing for tribal art especially pieces from Papua New Guinea. Meet Rudy and Tom my new pieces from my dealer in more ways than one @theoldboathouse_warehouse. Rudy is from Papua New Guinea (?Sepik) and Tom is from the same collection and supposedly PNG too but he reminds me more of a Ifugao rice god from the Phillipines. I’m no expert so I’m just calling him Tom.

This is Frank. He’s a PNG suspension hook carving and as you can see he’s the big (or not so big if you look closely), strong, silent type. Next to him is a large studio pottery floor vase with applied leaves and flowers. There is some damage to the leaves here and there but that doesn’t worry me. I’m going to turn it into an oversized table lamp. Something a bit organic and rustic.

Then there are these two lucite beauties. Bound for the bathroom … whenever that starts. Long story. One day I’ll fill you in on the bathroom saga.
