Toronto photographer James Tse's portfolio is very familiar to me because he's shot some of my favourite spreads in Canadian House and Home magazine. The lighting is so stunning in his photos, I want to be in them sitting on some of those gorgeous chairs. Perhaps I should have called this post "chair porn".
Photographer Angus McRitchie understands the exuberance of colour so well. Joyous, riotous, uncontrolled colour is captured through his lens and loses none of its vibrancy in the process. But just as he has a wonderful grasp of bright colour Ritchie can capture the calm earthiness of neutrals as well. Another fabulous Australian photographer. Love this portfolio.
Jessica lives in Anacortes, Guemes Island, USA. Jessica lives in heaven. A printmaker, artist and picture-taker she wanted to share her flickr set that traces the building of her amazing home and studio space. I'm speechless. You really do live in a wonderful house with a mind blowing studio with perhaps the most beautiful view I have seen. Check out her website Slow Loris Shirts for the coolest tees!
I LOVE getting emails from readers of spaces they want to share with Jo and I and our other readers. Tonight it was Camilla from Australia. Here's what she had to say and the photos she included (thanks Camilla!):
I just wanted to share with you my love of chocolate walls! I have been working on an apartment for a client & the space was just so blah & looked like a temp accommodation space! We painted the walls a gorgeous dirty chocolate & & the result is so - yum!! (and with white trims & ceilings - ahhh so fresh!) As the space is soaked in natural light - the result is just so refreshing & makes the other colours we have put in the room really pop!! As you will see - these pics are not professional numbers! And the apartment isn't finished yet, but I just wanted to share the chocolate yummies!! (Still to come are gorgeous JAB silk cushions & possibly the carpet will go & make way for some beautiful bamboo floorboards!) The colour is Taubmans - Belgian Chocolate. After looking at loads of Chocolates this one stands out to me as it has a good dirty base!!
Philip Gorrivan is a New York-based designer who specializes in high-end residential and commercial projects. His designs are simply divine - they are modern, tailored and sophicticated. I am totally in love with all the fabrics and patterns in these photos. *SWOON*
