It's Saturday. Election day in my home state of Queensland. Don't know the results yet as polls haven't closed. Up early. Vote. Trawl the thrift stores, couple of house inspections (still looking, very jaded by now) and I'm exhausted. Settle in to write WINKS when I visit a site sent to us and my spirits lift. Knibb design gardens that speak to your heart. Flowing hills of grass, sweet little shell details dotting gravel paths, garden rooms and garden getaways. Think rolling hills and clipped grass, meadows and ponds. So here's a very abridged version of WINKS. With spring sprung in the Northern Hemisphere maybe this is just the inspiration to start thinking about the garden.

This is just a quick note to say that I unfortunately need to take a short break from the blog. I have a test on Wednesday at work that I need to pass in order to potentially get a promotion (gotta love the hoops you need to jump through to get anywhere in the government). I had better dedicate all of my free time until then to studying, something I absolutely detest doing. Jo will be here with her regularly scheduled programming so do not fret. On that note, I leave you with some photos of lovely, summery outdoor spaces because I'd rather be hanging out in any of these than sitting at my dining table studying.

Is it the downturn in the market or the fact that I am scouring the real estate pages for a development property of my own that I haven't been real estate stalking (more like just drowning in real estate) lately? Here's a small lot inner city pad perfect for your hip young couple or more likely your still hip older couple with pocket loads of cash. A little out of my price range. Here while the link lasts.
