Tiny in Sweden

Real estate stalking again. In Sweden again. No surprise there! Take a look at this teeny tiny apartment all decked out in white with pops of green and pink. Who says small can't be big. Big on impact that is! From here.

Compact in every sense of the word

My younger sister's boyfriend Dave sent me a link to this video today, with the subject "Maybe this should have been your kitchen :)". My kitchen is pretty small, but not this small. Thanks Dave, but I think I'll stick to my Greentea kitchen. ;) (video via Gizmodo)

Small space solutions

Rickita wrote us recently looking for ideas: "I currently live in an approximately 450 sq studio apartment. I've been trying to find inspiring decorating ideas for small spaces. Do you have any pictures of studio apartments: specifically wall decoration and storage ideas? I would appreciate the help!" 450 sq ft is pretty small but I am a firm believer that living in a small space doesn't mean it has to be filled with small stuff. My favourite small spaces include walls painted in bold colours or covered in fun wallpaper, some large furnishings, and oversized artwork (or large groupings of artwork). Hopefully the following photos inspire anyone living in a small space.

Small spaces

Real estate stalking again. What else is a girl to do on a slow Friday afternoon? I found this tiny terrace in the oldest part of my home town and I'm blown away by the small space tricks the architect (don't know which firm unfortunately) has used here. As you can see from the outside this terrace is not much more than 4 metres across if that. Love the wall cutouts and use of glass as well as the vertical full height banisters and folding wall of windows. The decor looks a little "hired" and I'm itching to add some art and personal touches as well as shots of colour but it's the great sense of space I'm highlighting here. Forget that the bedroom looks like the developer has bunked down for the duration and imagine what that room must be like when the bifolds are pushed back and the late summer breeze blows in. Love the view from the rear balcony over it's teeny weeny and historic neighbours. All this less than one kilometre from the CBD.
