I don’t think many interior designers have their client announce that they want a black kitchen. But using that concept to then go hunt for a designer online and coming upon the moody and edgy work of Monique Gibson seems like a match made in heaven. This weekend retreat designed by architect Teo Siguenza was already under construction when Monique joined the project and she added her signature sophistication and dark, contemporary touch to make it a modern farmhouse like no other.
