A sun-soaked Bywater retreat

Chartres 1883, reimagined by Logan Killen Interiors and Design, turns a former New Orleans feed store and carriage house into a warm, character-filled retreat. Plaster walls, handmade finishes, beadboard ceilings and concrete floors keep things honest, while rich, saturated colours are filtered through lace curtains. Built-ins were skipped for antique-style storage, giving the place a relaxed, lived-in feel … perfect for long dinners, lazy pool days, and easy, memorable stays.
