Jan Showers

Jan Showers is goddess of glamourous interiors. Her designs are all about luxurious fabrics (including many zebra rugs, which I covet), glorious mirrors, breathtaking colours and furniture to simply die for. Jan’s favorite quote is “The first thing I tell my clients is that they need to look great and feel good in their own rooms, otherwise, why bother?”. How could you not feel like a million dollars in these rooms??

Ted Yarwood

Let me introduce you to the outstanding photography of Ted Yarwood. Please have a look at his portfolio for more eye candy – there were so many amazing photos to choose from. I love the photos below because the lighting in each is just perfect, and he focuses on the most beautiful elements of each space. Oh – and I would give my right arm for those pink tufted leather chairs.

Ruthie Sommers

Somehow neither Jo nor I have posted about Ruthie Sommers. She is hugely popular in the design scene and as everyone knows, was on the cover of Domino’s first issue. She is a design goddess and her style rocks beyond words. She only has a few pics of interiors on her site but had many fab photos in her store’s (Chapman Radcliff Home) gallery. OH LA LA. I want it all.

Jo has posted over at Mark Cutler’s blog about Marion Hall Best, Australia’s most influential and inspirational interior designer. I have to say that it’s a must-read.

Coburn Architecture

Coburn Architecture has a fabulous portfolio on their website…so good because it seems they also specialize in interior design. The rooms featured are decorated with such great colours and furniture, without alot of attention focused on any sort of obvious architectural features. The first 2 photos below are my favourites. I think it’s totally brilliant to make a cozy desk area out of an otherwise unusable space.
