A serene home in the Laurentians

Created as the clients’ primary residence, this vast home was conceptualized in its entirety to resonate with the Blanc Marine signature, with the aim of offering the young couple who inhabit it serene, welcoming spaces in their own image. By favoring earthy tones and rich textures, we harmonized their interiors with the nature of the enchanting site in which this home is set.
The bar is already set high when you build a home within the beauty of the Laurentian mountains. But Blanc Marine‘s neutral, earthy and classic style is perfection within the natural setting of this area of Québec. Their style is frankly perfection anywhere. It is so serene and timeless and effortless to live with and make it your own. (Photos: Sylvie Li)

This apartment in the historic Cobble Hill neighorhood belongs to partner, Erin Fearins and has been carefully renovated to include custom millwork and an expertly layered mix of vintage furniture pieces and carefully curated art and antiques.
Erin of Studio FSW decked out her family’s apartment with layers of vintage and antique finds, very bold graphic wallpapers and fabrics and daring colour choices. A designer after my own heart. (Photos: Lesley Unruh).

I typically feature grand homes on Sundays but I ended up on Historiska Hem and found this absolutely charming Villa Björkdalen for sale in Rönninge, Sweden. A former small private school and a vicar’s residence, this adorable home retains much of its original character both interior and exterior but has been modernized for today’s lifestyle. Which in my opinion makes it PERFECT. How much would I love a yellow cottage? SO VERY MUCH.

A family home in the Hudson Valley

In New York’s Hudson Valley, a young family found a home with room for roots and growth. Overlooking sun filled meadows and secret wooded glades, this home creates indoor and outdoor spaces for family, for friends, and for the years ahead. The furniture and accessories mix mid-century masters with 19th century French and American antiques. Woven together with layered textiles, vintage pottery and black and white photographs the rooms invite family festivity, celebrations among friends, and new growth. Outdoor spaces beckon: the comfortable lounges and swaying perennials around a pool, a table set for an evening of revelry, and a ring of mushroom stools brewing magic in a clearing. Together, it’s a home for enchantment.

Warsaw-based Colombe Studio never ceases to amaze me with their creativity and attention to detail. This kitchen may not be huge or have lots of storage but it’s a work of art and absolutely beautiful. This apartment is giving me somewhat museum vibes but in the best way as it is still inviting but every item and every detail makes such a statement. Photos: Kasia Gatkowska
