A six-storey Georgian period property located in Notting Hill, London. Hubert Zandberg Interiors was appointed to complete the interior architecture and design and carried out a full renovation of the space, whilst preserving the historic character of the building; an important element for both the client and HZI. The approach was a soft play on English traditional with a bohemian Notting Hill twist, combining classic detailing with a fresh contemporary palette along with the family’s dynamic art collection.
In typical HZI fashion, this home is wonderfully layered and curated with unique colours and an eclectic mix of styles I love so much.

This 1937 home in West Point, Georgia was designed by architect Henry Toombs and restored and a guest house added by designer David Frazier. I love the classic vibes and antiques mixed with casual earthy elements (ie. a plethora of rugs) and appreciate that he left some original features intact, like the tongue and groove paneling in the primary bedroom. Such a beautiful, timeless home. (Photos: Gieves Anderson)

Every now and then I come across an outdoor space that leaves me speechless and almost in tears. This Somerset garden of landscape designer Libby Russell of Mazzullo + Russell Landscape Design is 100% one of those. I honestly do not have the proper words to describe how beautiful this is. I dream of having a sanctuary like this one day when I can manage to give up city living.
A large country garden split into several garden areas. On one side of the garden, a series of terraces run uphill, including a family garden with large herbaceous borders, a kitchen garden, swimming pool garden and orchard with wildflowers. On the otherside, a contemporary amphitheatre falls down the other hillside where curved grassbanks echo the striations of the paths made by sheep over centuries on the banks of the valley beyond. Inspired by the joyful and eclectic atmosphere of the home in the ‘Paddington’ films we created a vibrant, pattern filled home for design lovers, with an emphasis on practical solutions for family life and interesting design details throughout.
This could not be more perfect for a family with young kids. The colours are so fresh and incredibly fun and have such a wonderful energy. Immediately brings a smile to my face. Also how can you not love a yellow kitchen? Designed by James Arkoulis and Saskia Howard of Howark Design (***update: and as per the comments, also designed by Robert Atherton Design)

Set in the hills with expansive countryside views, this medieval chateau in southern France is a dream! Lovingly restored and decorated, it has 12 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and living areas set over three floors. Complete with its round tower and private pool, it is truly magical! This magnificent property also includes three separate self-contained gites lovingly renovated to a high standard. Each has an individual terrace and access to a separate shared pool. Despite the peaceful and tranquil setting, the property is just a few minutes from all necessary amenities and a large swimming lake. The city of Toulouse and its airport are less than one hour away.
What a beautiful home and a fun project to change out some of those colours to something a little more….. or a little less….. For sale via Savills.
