Yesterday I found myself down a rabbit hole of castles for sale and spotted this beauty in Bouquetot, Normandy. I feel that this title is totally misleading, but in a good way. This is nothing like I would have imagined a lake house in Minnesota to look like. This home is like a museum for modern art and mid century chairs. Lake house living at its absolute finest, designed by Ryan Lawson. Photos: Stephen Kent Johnson.

Interior Designer Suzanne Rheinstein is known for her signature style that is often described as elegant civility—“fewer things but better things”—encompassing a mixture of beautiful objects, furniture styles, personal art, painted surfaces and great attention to comfort, textures, details and light. “Living well everyday is much more important than getting your house together only for special occasions.” Such beautiful, magazine-worthy spaces Suzanne has created in a range of styles. This is a random selection from her portfolio.

This Oxford home is what country living dreams are made of. An absolute beauty inside and out. Much of the furnishings are quite traditional but if you look a little closer you will spot details that are a bit more current, which makes me love this even more. Designed by VSP Interiors.
