It’s that time again! This is an early bird call for your entries in the prestigious A’ Design Award & Competition. We are excited to share with you not only some of the previous winners but also how you can enter your own designs for this year’s competition. With over 100 categories the A’ Design Award & Competition is the world’s largest design competition. But it is not just an award. It is an indicator of quality and perfection in design, recognized worldwide, your design front and centre before design companies and professionals. Entries will be judged by an international jury panel of scholars, professionals and media members (you can check out the methodology here) and the benefits to the winners are inspiring. The trophy, of course, an invitation to the gala night, a certificate of quality, inclusion in the prestigious A’ Design Award & Competition exhibition and the yearly ResultBook but even more importantly press, PR, introduction to industry professionals and companies and international exposure.
From the Good Industrial Design Award, to the Good Architecture Design Award. The Good Product Design Award to the Good Communication Design Award. The Good Service Design Award to the Good Fashion Design Award and so many more. Are you inspired? Excited? Believe you’ve got what it takes to take on the best of the best design from around the world? You can register for A’ Design Award and Competition here.

What more do I really need to say after that title? A castle in Italy? Don’t mind if I do! I will add that the castle dates to 1200 or earlier and is located in Cigognola, a comune in the Province of Pavia. You can read more about it in Architectural Digest Italy. L’Artigianato is a design firm founded in Milan by Chicago-born Eric Egan. For every project, Eric artfully marries his in-depth passion and knowledge for the history of interior decoration with expertly considered design that feels fresh for the modern day. Eric crafts each interior to tell a unique story that weaves together elements of the client, the setting, and the property itself. His interior landscapes, uniting the practicalities of hotel design with the beauty of residential sophistication, speak only of the highest comfort, quality and elegance, finely balancing the ultimate in luxury with tasteful restraint. Each of his spaces is magazine-worthy, refined, polished, with not-so-subtle hints of European flair.

Serenity now! These spaces by Jaime Zehner of JZ Interior Designs are so relaxing and serene. California casual is her scene and I’m digging it. A bit Scanid, rustic, beachy…. perfect for warm weather living.

Jo and I have featured so many incredibly beautiful homes in Ibiza over the years and as a result I yearn to visit this magical place. Casa Karina (and several other villas) is a rental property of Amsterdam-born Tom van Amerongen who fell in love with Ibiza and moved there in 2009. It would be a dream to be able to stay here and enjoy the sun, warmth and the surroundings.
