Hospitality spaces by Nicemakers

Amsterdam interior design firm Nicemakers blew me away last week with their residential spaces but it doesn’t stop there. Their hotels, cafés, salad bars, restaurants and private dining spaces are equally as gorgeous and have some really inspirational design elements as well. Here is a taste.

A designer’s home in Austin, Texas

The Austin, Texas home of designer Consuelo Pierrepont Spitler of Sway Studio is so beautifully curated and filled with a motley of antique pieces that are unique and quite obviously treasured. It’s a mish-mash I can 100% get behind.

Nicemakers

Amsterdam interior designers Joyce Urbanus and Dax Roll, partners in life and design, are known as ‘Nicemakers’. And nice does not begin to describe their spaces. Functional and liveable, but high on style and thoughtfully curated. I featured a kitchen below a few years ago but the photos were too small to do it justice so another peak was in order. It’s a stunner.

Attention to detail

Back in November Jo featured this kitchen by New York based design firm Studio Dearborn, and titled the post “Everything and the kitchen sink”. That title was spot-on because Sarah Robertson’s attention to detail, especially when it comes to kitchens, is EVERYTHING. There is a spot for every item you could possibly need, and more. So I thought I’d share a glimpse into another kitchen she designed, along with some other spaces that caught my eye.

Traditional + youthful

The older I get the more I find myself appreciated classic furniture, whether it be mid-century, art deco or more traditional. This home (of actress Jordana Brewster) in Los Angeles was designed by Chiara de Rege and most of the shopping for the items was done in the home of Jordana’s parents (you can read more about that in this Architectural Digest feature). Who clearly have fabulous taste. I love how the traditional pieces in their surroundings give off a bit of an edgy, youthful vibe.
