What do you get when you pair a modern white loft in Seville, Spain with a designer who has a passion for 17th to 19th century decor? An unexpected clash of styles that is quite dramatic. By Amaro Sánchez de Moya.

We don’t typically post renderings but when it’s this fabulous I’m making an exception. Utkan Gunerkan is an Istanbul-born architect based in Milan, Italy, and this bathroom and kitchen are for projects in Puerto Vallarta, my favourite place on earth. They are SO much fun and graphic and creative. If I could make these come true in my home I’d die. And I think it was meant to be seeing as I just replaced my dining room chandelier with one that is turquoise, a colour I never use.

I spotted this home on AD Russia and it stopped me in my tracks. Ukrainian architect Sergey Makhno built this home for his family, to showcase his love of Ukranian and Japanese design, and his incredible ceramic collection. Each room is more incredible than the next. I adore this.
