Shane & Pierce is the recent joint venture of LA based designer Evan Shane Krenzien and Dallas-based developer Pierce Jordan. It seems these two talented guys got together to work on Pierce’s Normandy inspired home he built (designed by architect Juan Carlos deLeon) and it was such a success they decided to work together on more projects. I can see why – this home feels modern but has an old-world flavour to it and a warmth that is so welcoming. That kitchen is giving Tuscan vibes and the morning room is a dream. Also, marble wainscotting?!?! I am smitten with it all. Photos: Michael P. H. Clifford; Styling: Shelley Warkentin.

Nostalgic vibes in a West Seattle home

Posted on Thu, 27 Mar 2025 by KiM

My obsession with Heidi Caillier‘s projects continues with this West Seattle beauty in her typical vintage/traditional style with a funky edge. That kitchen has captured my heart but it makes me wonder how much I’d be into that painted wood floor over time. Sometimes I think they are really cute even when worn in the high traffic areas but not sure if I’d regret it. What do you think about painted wood floors in kitchens? Interior design firm Haldon House is based in Philadelphia and was founded by Autumn Oser and Andre Golsorkhi. Haldon House has cultivated a distinct aesthetic that defies simple definition, yet remains instantly recognizable. Known for masterfully balancing masculine and feminine elements, we design homes that are rich, soulful, and impossible to pin to a specific era – a testament to their enduring and sophisticated design ethos. Every project is approached in a thoughtful and personalized way to create an intentional design that evokes a mood and feels iconically timeless. Haldon House’s careful curation of unexpected materials and objects with artful touches puts the work in an eclectic category all its own. We achieve a timeless sophistication that defines our aesthetic. The end result is an environment that is warm, alluring, layered, and truly iconic.
Timeless sophistication this absolutely is – and I’d throw moody and classic in there as well. It’s as if these spaces have been there for years and will be there for years to come. I am completely obsessed with that deep red scullery and the dining banquette nook that looks like a corner in the cutest British pub. Photos: Jason Varney.

Rock & roll log cabin in Colorado

Posted on Tue, 25 Mar 2025 by KiM

A Colorado mountain retreat for a creative Los Angeles family. Drawn to the rugged beauty of Telluride, the family envisioned a vacation home that blended the charm of a traditional log cabin with the effortless cool of their bohemian lifestyle. The log cabin was a timeworn space with orange-hued logs, outdated layouts, and a “Home-on-the-Range” aesthetic. Moore House Design reimagined the home, blending midcentury furniture, scattered patterns, and contemporary mountain elements for a space that feels cozy, stylish, and authentically theirs.
This is sooooo cool!!! Not sure how they got the orange logs into that beautiful deep brown but WOW this is a dream log cabin full of life and incredibly stylish and cozy. Photos: Jared Kuzia.

The Renaissance façade opens onto a magnificent gallery that runs the length of the building, on the ground and ground floors. It is pierced by numerous doors and windows. The building spans more than 600 sqm and contains many period features: floors, fireplaces, sinks, ceilings, openings, etc. It is currently being restored. The outbuildings: A gîte fitted and equipped with 200 m² of living space and has 4 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and a bathroom; A very large traditional barn with a floor surface area of 250 m² with three rooms on the ground floor and two upstairs; A swimming pool room. The land: A French-style garden; An overhanging, heated, salt-treated swimming pool; A built spring; The half-moon moat runs around the rear of the château; Approximately 7 acres of land.
I’d be on board to sign on the dotted line for this for the wisteria and exterior façade alone. For sale for €1,395,000 via Cabinet Le Nail.
