Here is another eclectic home by Black Parrots Studio but this time it is mid-century mixed with 70’s tropical!!! The theme becomes much more subtle beyond this crazy cool dining room (that plant/leaf wallpaper looks like it has been there for years) but all of the spaces are fun and dramatic whether in bright or dark colours.

An eclectic cottage

Posted on Tue, 10 Oct 2017 by KiM

What a fun cottage this is! All kinds of vintage awesomeness throughout this home creating quite and eclectic vibe. A bit a bit mid-century mod, a bit shabby chic, a bit granny cool. I love the unexpected. By Brighton based Black Parrots Studio

A renovated apartment in grey and white

Posted on Mon, 9 Oct 2017 by KiM

Blending new with old is what went down in the renovation of this classic apartment in Vienna. Original tiles, doors, windows and wood floors were restored, making a perfect backdrop for a modern partially free-standing kitchen and furnishings. A subtle grey and white colour scheme makes this home serene and keep the attention on the details. By architecture and design firm destilat

Today’s plans include little more than this sofa, the pets, some peanut butter on toast, lots of coffee and the tv that never gets to shine on instagram (poor tv, I really do love you). I’ll be honest, already obsessed with married at first sight nz but think I might jump on the love island bandwagon today. What have you got planned? Shame me with your culture and lack of slovenliness. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’• #nzhomeswithstyle #theotherkemphouse… #currentdesignsituation #jungalowstyle #societyofdesign #homedecor #myboldhues #styleithappy #sassyhomestyle #apartmenttherapy #cornerofmyhome #finditstyleit #mycuratedaesthetic #thisiswhyihavetothriftshopeveryday #midcenturyhome #thisiswhyithriftshopeveryday #interiordecor #leopardprint #vintagefurniture #showmeyourboho #dtipetsonfurniture #vintagehome #pocketofmyhome #myeclecticmix #allthingsmetric #moreismoredecor #howyouhome #thriftshopfinds

Thank you for passing me a #widn lovely Miriam @holmes_and_away_ ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜˜I just got home from a few days in gorgeous #gøteborg with my sweet, goofy and noisy family. Absolutely love hanging with them in this city – it’s so green and laid back and lots of good vintage and interior stuff to ogle for me, and also fun stuff for them. โค๏ธDarling Lilou stayed with a super kind neighbour, have just picked her up and given her a bath, looking forward to cuddle her all evening! Found refills for my @madetlen lava rocks in @artillerietstore and so house is smelling fab too, in spite of not having had time to clean it this week. ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‚๐ŸYabbering on too long, stopping now, what is stylish Amy @thisstyle_rocks and my sister from another mister, Maren @villabetulablog up to? This is Wolf. We often find him sitting in this chair, thinking deep thoughts like “Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?” He suspects the answer is no. The orange potato in the background is Wolf’s adopted brother Fox. We’re not sure what Fox’s deep thoughts are about. He’s an enigma.

A Victorian terrace in London

Posted on Sun, 8 Oct 2017 by KiM

My crush on Victorian homes in London continues. This Victorian terrace in Clapham, South West London has amazing details. Fireplaces, wood floorboards, bay windows, exposed brick, stained glass, free-standing bath….all of this makes my heart skip a beat. Fun fact: this house was previously used by Farrow and Ball as a poster home for the brand. Available as a location home through jj Locations
