*SIGH* Now this is a dressing room! The closet in the last post was pretty sweet but this is an entire room dedicated to someone’s wardrobe! Built-ins from top to bottom to store everything in a special place. My dream. I am fortunate enough to have a bedroom all to my own set up as a dressing room but it’s simply filled with miss-matched pieces of furniture/crates/racks. I want THIS!!! Once again by Marks & Frantz.

A Brooklyn Brownstone done right, IMHO. This home had lost much of it’s original detail during a previous owner’s renovation and with traditional interior design details and custom millwork, we were able to transform this home back to its traditional splendour. Some of the highlights include a custom master closet and built in banquette in the kitchen. By New York-based interior design firm Marks & Frantz.

Since I will be in the air on the way to Germany when this post publishes I wanted to feature a home from this gorgeous country. This 290 m² maisonette in Stuttgart is that of architect Peter Ippolito of Ippolito Fleitz Group and textile designer Stefan Gabel of Zimmer + Rohde. This space could really not be more unique – with fun pieces of art throughout. Such incredible creativity and thought went into the design. I adore this.

Perfect doses of colour and pattern, beautiful wallpapers, contemporary mixed with antiques, subtle blingy notes….loving all of these spaces by Houston-based interior designer Jennifer Barron.

Good morning dear readers! I wanted to send out a quick post to let you in on a little excitement going on over the next several days. A couple of months back I was sent an email asking me to be a part of something super exciting, and it is finally happening! Tomorrow night I am flying to Berlin with some other Canadian media folks/bloggers to take part with representatives from 46 other countries in an event that has been very secretive. The only info I have been provided is that Miele, the world’s premium German appliance manufacturer, is about to transform the way we taste and prepare food. Hands-down a revolutionary moment in technology in the kitchen. Yes, we are talking some #revolutionaryexcellence. I cannot wait to find out what this is all about!!!

I will be in Berlin, then Gütersloh and then Frankfurt and will head home Wednesday morning. I will be sharing moments here and there on Instagram @kim_dti, our Facebook page, and Twitter so keep an eye out if I have piqued your curiosity!! It seems I may have a bit of free time Sunday afternoon in Berlin and Tuesday afternoon/evening in Frankfurt if anyone wants to meet up (email me @ kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net).
