This house in Carmel, California is an absolutely stunning work of art inside and out. It is modern but so warm and organic because of all the beautiful wood used extensively throughout every space. This is every mid century modern lovers dream as it suits furniture of that era so perfectly. Designed by Dirk Denison Architects.

Parisian chic

The coolest apartments are always in Paris. This one is by Monaco interior architect team Humbert & Poyet. A stunningly simple fireplace, graphic artwork, classic furnishings by the likes of Eero Saarinen, Mies van der Rohe and Serge Mouille combined with tall ceilings and to-die-for moldings make this apartment in Le Marais a total dream. Forget those cabins, how about this 70 ft stone tower in the middle of a forest!! OMG this is absolutely incredible. I could live here forever and ever. The end. (Located in Meriwether County, GA, designed by Summerour Architects)

A cabin in the woods x 2

I am sitting here blogging listening to city busses whizzing by, helicopters landing, ambulance sirens (I live across from a hospital) and the kids next door screaming and I need to remind myself why I love city living. Especially when there are beautiful, rustic dwellings like this around where all you hear are the sounds of crickets and birds chirping. I couldn’t decide between these two so you get both.
