Mid century in Miracruz

I’m like a child in a candy store. Where do I look first? So much goodness to devour. Mid century furniture, gallery wall, the rugs, fabulous vignettes sprinkled with a great collection of West German pottery. I need to pore over these photos to wring out all the inspiration. In case you don’t realise I love this home by interior designer Mikel Irastorza. You can see more of his work here.

Green Apartment

Different shades of green and blue are the heroes of the redesign of this 30th floor apartment in Kiev by Oleksii Venediktov and his design firm Special Project Venediktov. Bold, unique, a little Scandinavian with an undercurrent of industrial. I love how the colours change as the light advances and wanes changing the feel of the apartment.

When Victorian and modern come together in one home to create something pretty awesome. To be frank, I am so in love with all the woodwork in the old part of the house I could not care less what is going on in the rest. I mean, look at the photo above! AH MAH GAWD!!! Interior design by Fern Santini, architecture by Mell Lawrence Architects

A blend of modern and classic by Kate Marker

Last month I featured a home designed by Illinois-based Kate Marker and I had to share some more of her work because it’s so fresh, bright and timeless and is the perfect blend of modern and classic styles that appeals to just about anyone’s taste. I am not a big fan of all white kitchens but she won me over with this one. WOW!
