One of my all-time favourite designers Heidi Caillier bringing some whimsy and vintage vibes into this Brooklyn apartment. With some gorgeous colours and patterns throughout as she is known for, this space has become unique but timeless and 100% livable. Photos: Haris Kenjar.

In an environment of absolute tranquility, this 15th-century estate sits majestically atop a hill, in the heart of its expansive private park of over 51 hectares (126 acres). A vast plain stretches out, a winding stream meanders through hills, a variety of fruit trees, a dense forest, majestic pines, graceful cypresses and over 700 olive trees. The land has been farmed organically by the owners for over half a century, demonstrating their commitment to preserving the environment. The bastide, with a total surface area of around 1000m2, comprises 4 separate buildings arranged around a spacious central courtyard. Renovations carried out in the 1980s created two separate dwellings, one covering 250m2 (2691 sq ft) and the other 120m (1292 sq ft).
This home exudes so much charm, despite the mostly terrible interior that really lacks effort. The potential here is incredible. For sale for €1,550,000 via Poncet & Poncet.

This beautiful townhouse in Monnickendam, The Netherlands was designed by DAB Studio. Taking advantage of tall ceiling heights and some original historic elements, this home was transformed into a really unique, modern and minimal oasis. The kitchen is a stunner with all rounded corners creating a fluid space, and flows with the rounded glass and wood partition from the staircase. It’s amazing how much warmer and organic a space can feel with curves rather than sharp edges. The rounded shape of the kitchen backsplash accentuates all of the curves and helps delineate the kitchen. All of these creative elements I’m taking note of. Photos: Daniëlle Siobhán.

Designer Marta De La Rica at it again with another home in Madrid that has similar warm tones as the last one, but with a bit of subtlety here. Some grasscloth wallpaper adds texture and coziness, while floral wallpaper and a pretty suzani bedcover add femininity. Photos: Manolo Yllera.

Joyful, movement, craft, antiques, nature in the city, elegance, functionality, storytelling, boldness
I adore shades of terracotta. It makes a space feel so warm and cozy but still vibrant. Madrid-based designer Marta De La Rica created all the warmth in this home with layers of terracotta and shades of blue. She is always unique in her approach to design and colour choices and this is no exception. Photos: Manolo Yllera.
