I have had an undying design crush on Parisian architecture and interior design firm double g for too many years now. Yes it helps if you start with a building with great bones but no-one fleshes out those bones better than this French duo. This 200sqm apartment in Saint-Georges is just sublime.
Two dentist’s surgeries in 2 weeks. I must be getting over my phobia! I would definitely have no problems dragging myself into the office on a Saturday if I worked in such a space. I’d even consider being a regular patient. So sophisticated, so chic. By Summer Thornton Design.
Come take my hand. We’ll close our eyes and click our heels and be magically transported to 5 Columns, a beautifully restored 18th Century house in the heart of the Essaouira Medina, Morocco. If only it was that easy to escape the slow dragging drudgery of Fridays at work.

I’m in Melbourne (Yay Melbourne for the win again!) stalking a family home in Kew. A 4 bedroom family home with pool renovated by a well know Aussie reality TV reno show couple (the bathrooms are a dead giveaway), it recently sold for $2.9 million. Yikes! The real estate market here in Australia is overheated. Still congratulations to them. It’s a lovely makeover. Link here while it lasts.
P.S. Don’t you hate early evening photos high on HDR? This place would photograph so well in “natural” light.
You know how we are always writing “light, bright and colourful”? It’s a bit of cliché isn’t it? If a house isn’t painted black and full of goth like furniture then it seems that we bloggers pull out our standard phrase book and choose that old chestnut over and over again. Except that this family home in Spain IS light, bright and colourful… and super stylish. Las Tablas Apartment by Blossom Studio.
